Downtown Detroit Engagement Session

Lauren and Dan spend most of their date nights in Detroit, exploring the vast selection of restaurants and activities. So I recommended we head over there, and ohh am I so happy we did! In order to beat the crowds of people, we left in the weee hours of the morning! Since "golden hour" (Golden hour is the first hour after sunrise and the last hour of light before sunset, that produces a warm natural light) happens twice a day we started at the top of Z parking garage to really showcase the Detroit skyline, and did we ever!

Do you believe in coincidences? Well, how about this one.. Dan and Lauren's wedding date is 10/10/2020 - when walking into the vestibule of the parking garage we saw their wedding date right there in front of us! How cool right!?

After dancing in the middle of "the belt" we continued to walk to Campus Martius. On our way is where we stumbled across a pop up coffee and décor set up at 1001 Woodward. It was the most perfect lounge area with a coffee bar and the sun beaming through the floor to ceiling windows.

Dan and Lauren cozied up on the couch while sipping their freshly brewed cup of coffee. I lead them to play some of my games I like to use on my couples, they sound super silly but I promise they will get genuine laughs and smiles and are also great ice breakers.

Our last stop was the famous Campus Martius right in Downtown Detroit. I had them walk both towards me and away from me while giving them another "game" to play. I will share with you just ONE of my games to play. Imagine your natural reaction if I said to you "While looking at each other, I want you to get your partner to laugh while just moving your eyebrows". You might think well that's not very funny but I challenge you to look at the person next to you and move those eyebrows around------ lol moment!

You might be thinking, I would love to do this but my fiancé isn't crazy about taking pictures! My goal for your engagement session is to capture your personalities and genuine love you share with each other. Recreating your first date or a hobby you share together are some of my favourite things to recommend. It's a personal touch that makes your session different and unique and not to mention so much fun!

I would love to hear your love story. Start by filling out my contact form and lets do this together :)
